Sony Ericsson Open Tickets
The hottest tennis in Miami now has a cool new name. The Sony Ericsson Open (formerly known as the Nasdaq-100 Open). The name has changed, but the great tennis you expect to see at Crandon Park won't.
The third Sony Ericsson Open (formerly known as the Nasdaq-100 Open) will take place on the Island of Key Biscayne in Miami, Florida and is set to be played March 25 April 5, 2009. The top 96 men and women in the world are lining up to dethrone 2008 champions Nikolay Davydenko and Serena Williams.
In 2008, the fourth ranked Nikolay Davydenko from Russia won its first Sony Ericsson Open defeating the second ranked Rafael Nadal in straight sets (6-4, 6-2) becoming the first Russian to win the Sony Ericsson Open.
On the women's side, Serena Williams rallied against the No. 3 seed Jelena Jankovic and captured her fifth career Sony Ericsson Open women's singles title 6-1, 5-7, 6-3 in front of a sellout crowd.
